Conducting
your Interview
|
|
During
your interview of a bank manager or financial planner, please ask the
following questions. Aside from these questions, you are welcome to ask
questions that you determine to be appropriate. If you ask additional
questions, be sure to include them in your report. These questions and
the answers that the interview provides must be documented and sent to
the instructor as part of Activity 5.1.
1. What are the implications
of having either a positive or negative credit history? (Ask for specific
examples).
3. What are three (or more) inappropriate uses of credit? 4. When selecting a credit card, what factors should one consider? |
| HOW
TO SET UP YOUR INTERVIEW:
It is suggested that you call or personally visit a bank manager or financial planner prior to the interview. Introduce yourself and describe to them this task that you have been given. You may want to offer to give them a copy of the questions that you intend to ask. Doing so may help the person being interviewed give you more thorough answers and make the interview go more efficiently. HOW TO RECORD THE INFORMATION: There are a variety of methods
that you can use to collect and record the answers that you will receive.
One method would be to paraphrase (put into your words) what the responses
to the questions were. A second method would be to record the answers
verbatim (exact words). To do this you may even ask that you be allowed
to record the interview. |
|
ACTIVITY 5.1 REQUIREMENTS 1) You must submit to the instructor all of the questions that you asked and the responses that you received. Again, these answers may be a summary that you write or the exact words that were said. Also list the month, day, and time of day, that the interview took place. 2) In addition to the question and answer, you must submit the following information about the person that you interviewed: a. Name (A business card or copy of one will also suffice for this requirement.)
