A Note about Content
As you can see, the instruction "be specific" keeps cropping up. I'm sure you've heard it before in other classes. Let me give you examples of what is meant by "be specific."

NONSPECIFIC

Ben & Jerry employees like working for a company that helps others.

SPECIFIC

One Ben & Jerry's employee, Jesse Metcalf, says that "the social mission was definitely a plus in my decision to come to Ben & Jerry's. I'm very drawn to those values.... If I worked for a company without those values, it would be a lot less motivating."

Do you see how the second example is more specific? It shows exactly how an employee feels. Don't you tend to believe things more when you're given specific examples rather than general statements?

For instance, if I said that air travel was extremely safe, you might be skeptical-- not enough proof. But, if you saw actual safety statistics and saw the actions of safety experts, you might be more convinced.

So, if you claim that Ben & Jerry's mission statement is easily understood and is transferred into action every day, what specifically in the reading supports this claim?
